Who Am I?

Hello! My name is ‘Koreabro’, and I am the creator behind this blog.

I am a Planner & Copywriter living in Daejeon, the central hub of South Korea. Unlike travel agencies or foreign bloggers who visit for a week, I live my daily life here. I take the subway to work, I shop at Olive Young, and I buy my bread at the legendary Sung Sim Dang.

Why I Started This Blog

One day, I saw a group of tourists in my neighborhood looking completely lost. They were staring at Google Maps (which doesn’t work well here!) and trying to hail a taxi that wouldn’t stop.

I realized there is a huge gap between the “Instagram Korea” (pretty photos) and the “Survival Korea” (reality). Guidebooks don’t tell you that you need to tap your bus card twice, or that tipping is actually rude.

I decided to use my skills as a professional planner to organize this complex information into a simple, easy-to-follow “Korea Survival Guide.”

My Mission

My goal is simple: To be your local Korean friend.
